Imagine witnessing ancient artisanal techniques and poetic methods of earthenware production. At Atmosphera, you can experience this, as the Panarea service table is created through a long and meticulous handmade process.

The iconic service table is crafted using the colaggio technique, which gives it a unique and exquisite appearance. The process begins with mixing white clay with 30% chamotte to enhance durability. The chamotte is sourced from recycled fired ceramic pieces, including second choices, accidental breakages, or damaged pieces during firing. No solvents are used during production, and water is recycled to minimize waste, thanks to a purification system.

The clay mixture is poured into a plaster mold and left to dry. The mold absorbs the water from the clay, forming a solid layer along the edges. Once the right consistency is reached, the excess liquid clay is removed, and the piece is turned over, revealing the raw form. These raw pieces are then carefully refined, sanded, and fired in a direct-flame kiln.

After the bisque firing, the pieces are ready for airbrush glazing. A second firing vitrifies the glaze, giving the table its final smooth and luminous finish.

Thus, Panarea is born, a service table made entirely of polished glazed ceramic, bringing color and vibrancy to both indoor and outdoor spaces, whether classic or contemporary in style.
